As educators, we are encountering a very palpable need to rebuild and strengthen our music programs. Whether you teach a beginning band, collegiate band and everything in between, let us join together to discover new and exciting ways to build solid musical foundations in our programs. Through instrumental pedagogy, rehearsal collaboration and community, we can move toward a program built upon musical mastery. It's time to get "Back to the Basics, Y'all!"

We have a series of optional "add-ons" that you can choose to participate in the conference. These are a way for us to build community and just spend some time together.

Friday, July 8 (8:30 PM) - Cost is free/tickets are required

Houston Symphony; Summer Symphony Nights: This is a free outdoor performance at Miller Outdoor Theater. Find more details here: Summer Symphony Nights

Saturday, July 9 (8:00 - 11:30 AM) - Cost is $12.31/add-on included in payment options

We will explore Houston as a group in a fun scavenger hunt.  You may however choose to enjoy the city in another way.  You can indicate in the registration form if you are interested in this event.

Saturday, July 9 (Lunch) - Cost is $22.00/add-on included in payment options

We will come together on Saturday for our General Meeting and BBQ Lunch and then depart for our afternoon at HBU Dunham Theater.  Lunch will be at Demeris BBQ. Check out the menu here: Demeris BBQ

Saturday, July 9 (Dinner) - Pay for your own dinner/reservation required

We will gather together for dinner at The Original Ninfa's in Uptown on Saturday evening.  We will order and pay for our own dinner here but will need reservations.  Check out the menu here:  Ninfa's Menu
